Bill Comfort, CSA, CLTC®, LTCCP®, The LTCpro®, is a nationally-recognized continuing education trainer in the field of long-term care planning and LTC insurance sales. He has served on the national training faculties for both the CSA - Certified Senior Advisor® and Certified in Long Term Care - CLTC® designation programs and currently serves as the Director of Training for CLTC. Bill has trained thousands of insurance agents, financial planners, attorneys, accountants and other professionals in the subjects of long-term care, LTC planning, and LTC insurance.
Since 2006, Mr. Comfort has applied his extensive experience with LTC insurance to assist the private-duty home care industry to improve its efforts to help clients with LTC insurance get claims approved and paid in a timely manner. He works at both the national, franchise home office level as well as in local offices - both franchise and independent agencies. His training efforts include both the financial services and caregiving industries about how to work more effectively with LTC insurance - at the point of sale AND at the time of claim. He is a certified insurance Continuing Education instructor in all 50 states, and has been a featured speaker at the National Private Duty Association (NPDA), the Private Duty Expo, the Missouri Alliance for Home Care, the Tennessee Association for Home Care, the Financial Planning Association (FPA®), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and for numerous local organizations and agencies. Mr. Comfort’s views on LTC planning, LTC insurance, and LTC claims issues issues have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The Journal of Financial Planning, SmartMoney, Kiplinger's Retirement Report, Private Duty Insider, numerous insurance industry publications and on the Fox Business News series "Road to Retirement." Mr. Comfort is a licensed insurance agent, based in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, North Carolina Triangle area, specializing in LTC insurance with more than 30 years experience.
